Explore Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou’s adobe-built houses and learn about its history. Tour the former palatial residence, Kasbah Telouet. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and the pass of Tizi-n-Tichka to arrive at Marrakech.

In the morning, you will be picked up at 08:00 by your driver/guide in a 4×4 air-conditioned car. The first scheduled stop will be in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, famous for its sloping roofs to deal with the yearly snowfall. Here, there are plenty of opportunities to take photos and it is a good place for a coffee break.
Continuing south, near Azrou, we will stop in the oak and cedar forest where you can photograph and feed the Barbary monkeys. Your Fes to Marrakech desert tour continues driving over the Middle Atlas Mountains to arrive at Midelt which will be the venue for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will drive through Errachidia and along the Ziz Valley, full of green palm trees, and offer opportunities to take photos. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi dunes passing by Erfoud, very known for its many fossil artefacts exhibits which you could visit.
After arriving at Erg Chebbi dunes, you will be welcomed by a glass of mint tea and Moroccan biscuits. Later on, an hour to an hour and a half camel ride leads to the top of the dunes where you can witness the spectacle of the sunset.
Later at night, dinner is served, followed by a small party of Berber music and drumming and an overnight sleep in your private nomad tent near the big dunes.
After breakfast, enjoy full-day trekking on a journey into the red wind-blown dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
You will walk behind camels as they carry the equipment or choose to ride them whenever you wish. You will trek for three hours in the morning and another three hours in the afternoon.
Lunch will be prepared by your camel-men, who will guide you and navigate the desert for the best picnic spot.
After witnessing the sunset from the top of the dunes (250 m), dinner is served followed by Berber music and drumming and overnight in nomad tents.
Early in the morning, there will be an opportunity for a second camel ride to the summit of the captivating dunes where the sunset is an awesome sight.
After breakfast, our journey continues with a scenic drive along many Berber villages; Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinghir, where you can walk alongside the riverbank and visit small villages to learn about the lifestyle of the local inhabitants before you visit the expensive Toudgha Gorges and have lunch on the spot.
After lunch, we will continue to Dades Valley, with a stop to photograph the monkey feet, a fascinating rock formation, and drive through the curvy road of Dades Gorges, portrayed in many travel flyers as one of the most beautiful pieces of roads, before arriving at the hotel at the edge of the valley.
Here, you will enjoy a splendid dinner followed by occasionally a musical play and overnight in a beautiful guest-house.
After breakfast, we drive along the Valley of the Roses to Kel’aa M’gouna, where you can visit the organic cosmetic products co-operatives and learn how the locals make rose-scented perfumes from the fragrant flowers of the valley.
The journey continues via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, to Skoura Oasis, famous for its date palm trees fields and the beautifully repaired Kasbah Amredhil, which you will visit.
After a short drive, we arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a backdrop to many Hollywood blockbusters; including “The Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia” and the famous TV series “Game of Thrones”. We arrive back at Marrakech by the end of the day, which marks the end of your Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
