Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet day trip- itinerary:
Start your Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou day trip by a morning departure from your hotel in a 4×4 air-conditioned car. Our first scheduled stop will be Cinema Studios where you can admire and photograph the film locations of some Hollywood blockbusters.
After a 45 min drive, we arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a favorite film location for many Hollywood movies, including ‘The Gladiator’, ‘Alexander’, some scenes of the famous TV series ‘Games of Thrones’. Here, you will explore the Kasbah with a local guide for greater insight into the history of this site.
Afterward, we continue our Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou day trip through the beautiful and fertile Ounila Valley, where is it possible to go for a walk. We arrive at Kasbah Telouet, which has once served as a palatial residence to the Glaoui Family and the Lord of the Atlas.
After lunch, visit the kasbah to discover this historical site. As you will notice, some parts of the kasbah are in ruins while others are still attached and are very reminiscent of beautiful tiling, traditional craftsmanship, and Zellige art.
In the afternoon, we return to Ouarzazate, driving over the high Atlas Mountains and via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. We arrive back at Ouarzazate by the of the afternoon.
